Shade Clothes Part II

I switched the shade clothes around.  This way they shade the house and patio more instead of the planter.  Also, with wind they didn't stay tight the other way.  I was able to get them much tighter and I don't think the wind will budge them.

BY MYSELF!!!

I actually went to Home Depot, BY MYSELF!!! Well, that's not entirely true, Bub was with me.  I bought the hardware I needed for the shade clothes, BY MYSELF!!!  This is entirely true because Bub was whining the whole time about wanting a drink.  Then I put up the shade clothes, BY MYSELF.  Ok, not entirely true, again.  John got the drill from Pat and drilled the first hole for me because Pat got sand in the drill and John couldn't get it to switch to reverse.  So he wasn't sure if it would take a lot of strength to get it back out of the hole.  It didn't.  By the way, I didn't end up using the hole he drilled because it was in the wrong place.  So I put up the shade clothes, MOSTLY by myself!  The patio was in shade by the time I was done so I'm anxious to see how they shade in the morning.  I posted 3 new yard pictures on facebook plus one of the shade clothes.  Here's the picture:

What CORE steps are you going to do today to get here?

Not so good

Ok today I listened to WW489A Spring Leadership Danzik, Popovich & Kizirian.  Don't you just HATE those lessons that just filet you open and expose you?  Don't you just LOVE 'em too?  NORM!!!  "I hope, I hope, I hope" (listen to it) that is the same as "some day..."  As I wrote about in The Winning Edge I am no longer saying, "some day..." or "I hope, I hope".  We are making it happen!  If I am not actually "doing" the thing, I'm "planning" it therefore it is no longer a "some day hope".

In our "hoping" we lie to ourselves as to what we are actually doing.  So (this is where the filleting happened) my status from the last couple of days is incorrect.  I can't count talking with people under Retail or STP even if they are clients, downline or prospects.  I still have "Reached out to one more" under my daily disciplines because I know that will lead to more people in business with us AND because it's the right thing to do in life.  I also can't count "putting together an invite list" under Retail or Functions.  I can't count typing this blog as counsel, accountable, yes; counsel, no.  I need to remember that counsel and accountable are like meditating and praying.  I heard once that praying is talking to God and meditating is LISTENING to God.  Accountable is telling your upline what you've done (as well as doing what you said you would).  Counsel is LISTENING to your upline.

So with that in mind following are the CORE steps I completed today.
2. Personal Use - Of course - everyday!
3. Retail - Actually had a retail sale of laundry care today.
4. SOT - YES - WW489A
5. Books - Make Today Count - Sort of the Readers Digest version of Today Matters.
8. Accountable - Doing my blog!
9. Kate - Checked it, no new ones.

Check list

1. STP - talked with people at Casey's
2. Personal Use - DUH
3. Retail - put together Nutrilite Seminar Invite list
4. SOT - ww488B - Samir Attalah, David Shores (AMAZING) & Dean Kosage
5. Books - Way of Agape Bible study
6. Functions - ...
7. Counsel - ...
8. Accountable - This blog
9. Kate - Listen twice... there were new Kate this morning and then urgent kates came down this afternoon.
10. Premier - synced new MP3s

#1 & 7 need work
#2 & 10 are done
#3 & 6 just need to stay on top of or expand
#4, 5, 8 & 9 EVERY day no matter what!

Step One

For any who have been following my other blog, The Winning Edge, you know that day one is the hardest but "the journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step" as the proverb goes!  So STEP ONE!
Also, for those following I have: Listened to audio, Read 10 pages and Reached out to one more, as some of my daily disciplines.  These are the same as SOT, Books and STP/Retail (sort of - building relationships) so I had a little head start on these habits.
Today I invited someone to the SLM (Steven), traded emails with a client (Christie), made a phone call to a prospect (Jolynn, no answer left a message) and chatted on facebook with a mom who's son skates with mine (Anne).  I listened to Bill & Sandy Hawkins Spring Leadership AGAIN (this is getting to be a new favorite, when he talks about Dick Davis...wow).  I finished The Slight Edge.  I just checked KATE and no new messages.  I also copied and added personal information to the Nutrilite Client Invitation.  I plan to email/snail mail those tomorrow along with a personal note.  So that is STP, Retail, SOT, Books, Function and Kate.
What about the rest?  Personal Use - I just took a bubble bath and used TEN products!  Including skin care!!!  Gee, I guess I'm more high maintenance than I thought.  Premier - received my digital download today.  Counsel & Accountable... well that's this post.  YEAH ME ALL 10!!!!
That wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be... DUH!  On to Ruby!

Happy New Year!

Have you ever received a kick-start? You know something happens or someone says something that gives you a KICK! Well, that has happened many, many, too many times to us in our business. Especially from our upline, thank God for our upline and their kick-starts. We recently received an email from our upline that read in part:
"Dream Nights are over and the Year has officially begun and ... it is time to restate your Dreams and Goals and then get your Activity Plan created for February and beyond.
(What are) your Long Term (1 Year) and Short Goals (next Month) and then outline your Activity Plan using the Core Steps as your guide as to the activities that are necessary and important to your success"

Long Term 1 year Goal – Ruby – This will be very close to our dream of having Jeff come home from contracting in California.
Next Month February – Lost Dutch Marathon Health Expo - should have many names from this. Actively promote the Nutrilite Seminar to current, previous and new Nutrilite customers by offering a $10 off Nutrilite purchase coupon in order to reimburse their ticket cost. Currently have 3 prospects invited to SLM February 5th.

Activity based on CORE
1 STP - Open our mouths and ask people how they are handling the economy. Make a comment indicating we may be able to help with that. Whatever they say might be an issue. Get them to sit down to see if they are really serious in an option.
2 Personal Use – Way done!! Around 500pv a month – need to re-set up a personal ditto order.
3 Retail Clients – Minimum retail volume done!! Need to add clients until we have 8 75PV clients EVERY month.
4 CDs – listen EVERY day
5 Books – 10 pages EVERY day
6 Functions – ALL – SLM 5th here – Jeff will find SLMs and Rallys out in California – we also need to promote functions more to prospects and downline.
7 Counsel – keep in touch with Gary regardless of our activity.
8 Accountability – This CORE blogspot - I have been doing a blogspot for my daily disciplines based on The Slight Edge since the beginning of January The Winning Edge. It has helped so much in keeping me on track that we are going to try it with this action plan.
9 Kate – listen every day
10 Premier – Done - on it with digital download

#1 & 7 need work
#2 & 10 are done
#3 & 6 just need to stay on top of or expand
#4, 5, 8 & 9 should have a zero daily tolerance – EVERY day no matter what!
